Licensed Electricians Who Diagnose First

What Drives Cambridge Electrical Services

Telling people across Cambridge that they do not need the work is how we get called back.

Our Journey

Older Houses Taught Us the Most

Century property across Cambridge is unforgiving of a careless rewire, and Cambridge Electrical Services learned early that the making-good matters to an owner as much as the wiring does.

2011

Where It Started

One electrician working almost entirely in older homes, where every route had to be found rather than cut.

2015

Licensed Contractor

ECRA/ESA registration meant the certificates customers needed for insurance and sale came from us rather than a third party.

2019

Wider Work

Panel upgrades and chargers on old services, then standby power, then commercial premises with the same care for the building.

Today

The Building Comes First

Routes surveyed before anything is opened, cable concealed where the structure allows, and nothing original damaged getting there.

About Us

Available When It Actually Matters

Out-of-hours calls reach an electrician who can attend, not an answering service promising a callback. Storm faults are answered while the weather is still bad rather than added to a list.

  • Locally Based Crews
  • Licensed Electricians, Insured
  • Permits and Certificates Handled
  • Rates Told to You Before We Set Off

How We Work

Our mission across Cambridge is unglamorous: find out why, then fix it. A breaker that keeps tripping is carrying a message, and replacing it without reading that message is how the same fault gets billed for twice.

What We Stand For

Diagnosis is most of the job. The rest follows from getting it right:

  • Load before parts: the circuit is measured before anything is swapped out, because a new breaker on a faulty circuit only hides the problem.
  • Sized from a calculation: panel upgrades follow recorded demand, so the service still has room once the next appliance is added to it.
  • Certified as standard: the notification is filed and the certificate handed over at close-out rather than promised for some point later.
  • On site the same day: emergency electrical services run seven days, because a dead supply does not improve for being left overnight.

What We Offer

From one dead outlet to a whole-house rewire, Cambridge Electrical Services keeps diagnosis, permit, installation and inspection with one crew. That covers EV charger installation, backup generator installation, whole home surge protection and pot light installation.

Drop sheets go down and openings get patched, so the property looks untouched apart from the work you actually asked for.

How We Work

Industrial Rigour, Whatever the Job Size

Manufacturers and homeowners across Cambridge both use Cambridge Electrical Services, because planned isolations and recorded terminations are how we run every job.

  • Surveyed and Sequenced: Distribution and existing load are recorded before an isolation is planned, so the outage window is as short as it can be.
  • Plant, Premises and Homes: Machine feeds, three-phase distribution, tenant work and domestic repairs all run through the same licensed crews.
  • Legacy Installations Corrected: Knob-and-tube wiring removal, aluminum wiring replacement and distribution upgrades are completed and certified.
  • Torque Values Recorded: CSA-approved devices, correctly rated conductors and terminations torqued to spec, with the readings written down.
  • Costed Before Commitment: Scope, price and outage window agreed in advance, in a document a production or finance team can work from.
  • Failures Predicted, Not Discovered: A home electrical safety inspection, or its commercial equivalent, finds heat-damaged terminals before they stop a line.

Cover in Writing

Two years on labour and full manufacturer warranty on parts, printed rather than described, so it is still enforceable years afterwards.

Free On-Site Quotes

Priced from what is actually there rather than an average, which is the whole reason our invoices match the figures we quoted.

Clean Work

Floors covered, walls made good and the panel documented. The property should look as it did, apart from the improvement.

FAQs

The things people ask Cambridge Electrical Services before booking

  • Both, fully. Cambridge Electrical Services is a licensed electrical contractor carrying liability cover, and every electrician holds a current individual licence.

  • Anything from a nuisance trip upward: panel upgrades, rewiring, EV chargers and standby generators, together with pot lights and lighting retrofits, across homes and business premises in Cambridge.

  • Everywhere across Cambridge and the communities around it, all set out individually on the service area page.

  • Yes, and firm ones. Permit and inspection are inside the figure, and what it excludes is written as clearly as what it covers.

  • No. The same electrician handles your job throughout, and on repeat work you usually get the same person again.

  • We return and fix it for nothing. Cambridge Electrical Services warranties labour for two years and passes on the full manufacturer cover for parts.
